TERRIBLY sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been pretty busy with school/homework/friends/music

BUT OMG I GOT INTO BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HOPE I GOT SAXOPHONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Otherwise I got clarinet. but I'M SO HAPPY!!!!!!!! They won't tell us what instrument we're playing till stupid Oct. 4th. >:(

And math! Too much of that recently... we have it one whole period a day! That's like... 55 minutes i think.

OMG!

OMG! I just made my first-ever background! It was for Feather's FrostPack order on Urbanicity ;) It's sloppy and blurry, but it fits and it's a background! I can't believe it!

The second one I made is on display now. It's autumn, so I made an autumn-themed one!

Do you remember those good old days? When we were princesses and fairies and damsels in distress, locked up in huge stone towers? When we dreamed of our very own Prince Charming after watching Cinderella one hundred and fifty times? When we imagined we had long, golden hair like Rapunzel? Fairy godmothers and evil stepmothers were real for us back then. We thought we would grow up to be princesses in our turn, dressing up in frilly pink dresses and plastic tiaras every Halloween. We dreamed of our very own unicorn, a snow-white horse with a glittering silver horn atop its head. We rode it into the sunset every night, then, at dawn, we returned it to its stable and fell asleep in our canopy bed in our great pearly-pink castle.

Years passed, and we had different dreams. We imagined about being a professional vet or a pop star or an artist, endlessly scribbling with our marker pens and singing into our plastic microphones ($2, TJMaxx) and performing 'surgeries' on our stuffed animals. We bought picture books and little magazines and creativity sets, slowly making our way into the real world and jobs available. We played Make-Believe with doll houses and little teddy bears, giving them names and personalities.

And now? Now we imagine about becoming an author or a photographer or anything else 'real', poring over other people's novels and pictures and works.

We know what we can do.

We know what's real.

And yet, we still remember.

Perhaps...

Dear readers, it is now officially autumn. Autumn means Halloween and leaves in hundreds if shades of goldyelloworangered. There is a certain crispness to the air which makes me shiver in fear and delight. For the coming of autumn means the ending of summer.

This good ol' lazy summer days, where all you did was read and write and capture and breathe in the sweet sunshine smell.

If summer was a scent, it'd smell like roses and lilies and bubbling springs and honey.

Autumn, the season of beginnings and endings, would be crisp, yet warm, filled with the remaining sunlight. There would be a homely, musty tang to it.

Winter would be cool and refreshing, the smell of snow and ice and frost and rain.

And spring would smell crisp, and yet would be warm and soft and gentle, like the youngest strand of lavender.

Thoughts

Hey, guys! Sorry I've not posted for a while. I've just been sooo busy with school and homework and the like...

Today, I'd just like to share some thoughts with you:

Thought #1: What if we all know each other in some way? What if we're distant cousins or friends of family or the sons and daughters of people our parents once knew at school?

Thought #2: Doesn't it seem like we all know each other anyway? It's as if Blogger is a city or a town and we're all neighbors.

Thought #3: I don't know about you guys, but I trust most people on Blogger. From what I know, I have no idea who they are, or if they're even a human being and not a spam, but...I trust them. I trust you guys. In a way.

Thought #4: So, if we all somehow know each other, then shouldn't we be friends?

I'm posting about my 2 little kittens that I adopted on FooPets! I adopted Spotlight 4 months ago, but things have changed - if you want an account you have to actually pay real money! Luckily I bought my new kitty, Pebblepaw, from another user so I don't have to actually pay. Anyway, on it, you can take photos of your pets with this camera tool. :) I decided to share some!
